In the end of April COAT Varanger conducted its spring-fieldwork. This year the spring-fieldwork consisted of the yearly deployment of sound stations by the ptarmigan module and start-up of monitoring of breeding locations for Gyrfalcon and Ravens.

On Saturday 23.2. Jan Erik Knutsen was on the museum in Varangerbotn holding a presentation about COAT for locals. Due to “Easter weather” and World championship in skiing, only about 10-12 persons came to listen. But we have established contact with the museum, and are planning to hold presentations there now and then
