Several popular scientific contributions from COAT in Fram Forum 2020
Published on: 18. March 2020
Fram Forum is an annual popular scientific publication of the Fram Centre. COAT researchers contribute with several articles in the 2020 issue.
Three of the contributions describe new findings from COAT. Ims et al. write about the impacts of increased plant productivity in tundra landscapes and its relationship to bird-nest predation rate, also described in a recent scientific publication. Pedersen & Hansen describe long-term trends of Svalbard reindeer population and how climate change affects the species, based on the satus report on Svalbard reindeer from 2019. Fuglei & Tarroux give an account of the arctic fox female that left Svalbard for Canada, that has also been described in a recent scientific publication. This Fram Forum issue also contains an update on the COAT Infrastructure current status (Soininen et al.) and a description of the new version of AMINOR research school where several COAT members are active (AMINOR Steering committee).
