It was plenty of snow in the highlands this year making snowmobiling easy, however in the lower parts of the peninsula the snow was soft, making the conditions more challenging. Compared to the previous three years the number of breeding attempts this year is relatively high. We will go back in beginning of June, when the fledglings are about to leave the nest, to see how many of the breeding attempts that turns out successful.

The monitoring takes place largely with the use of a telescope and scooter. Photo: Eivind Flittie Kleiven
